Below are 3 case studies of my SEO work.


SEO case study #1: Caribbean Vacation Destination website

The Problem: Less than 7% of natural traffic was from non-branded queries (didn't contain the company name or other branded terms). If a user didn't know the name of the vacation destination, they would almost certainly never find the site via natural search.

The Solution: The website was given a search engine optimization analysis. Recommendations were given. About 85% of the recommendations were implemented.

The Results: Natural traffic from search engine like Google, Yahoo! and Bing increased by more than 100% for non-branded queries overall and more than 700% for the top 10 non-branded natural search phrases. The site is still being found for the company name, but now it's found for targetted queries that don't contain the company name like "Caribbean vacation".


SEO case study #2: Car Insurance website

The Problem: A regional car insurance website was only showing in the natural search engine results for the company name. It was not showing in search results for queries like “car insurance.” Duplicate content issues were also hurting the site.

The Solution: A new website was constructed with search engine optimization best practices incorporated early on in the research phase of the redesign process.

The Results: The site began delivering noticable natural traffic from search engine like Google, Yahoo! and Bing within 3 months of launching. The traffic continued to increase month over month, quarter over quarter, and year over year. More than 2 years after going live, the site gets more than 400% more natural traffic from queries like “car insurance” and “compare auto insurance rates” than its nearest competitor.


SEO case study #3: Alternative Medicine website

The Problem: The client was looking for a long-term solution that would drive qualified traffic for years to come. The tried pay-per-click advertising, but found it to be too costly.

The Solution: We started by slowly implementing search engine optimization best practices over a 6-month period.

The Results: 94% of the traffic that now arrives at the site does so through general product terms. Many of the terms are reflective of users in the awareness and consideration stages of purchasing where users are more likely to be influenced to buy from a particular company by finding the site in the search engine results.
